Ever heard of the adage "The crowd is where the action is."? Well, that certainly holds true forВ Orchard Road in Singapore. This is where you can usually see the crowd - hordes of them, and this is definitely where you see most of the action - shopping action, that is.

Uniquely, Singapore
If there is one word that would appropriately describe Singapore, the word would be unique.
Two years of living in Singapore and being immersed in its culture and the way of life of its general population has led me to conclude that Singapore is a country of contradictions.

F1 Singapore 2009
After three days of action, Singapore F1 is finally concluded and world champ Lewis Hamilton came out on top. At 9.6 seconds later, Timo Glock came in second while Fernando Alonso closely followed at third place.
The F1 event has seen Singapore F1 and music fans alike in an all time frenzy. That's because aside from the race itself, Singapore also held the inaugural F1 Rocks Concert with performances by top-notch artists like Beyonce, No Doubt, The Black Eyed Peas, N*E*R*D, Jacky Cheung and A-Mei and many others.

Pulau Ubin – A Journey Back in Historical Singapore
Whether you are on a holiday to Singapore or simply looking for places to visit in Singapore, Pulau Ubin is the place you should seriously consider.
I had a blast when we visited Pulau Ubin. It was one of those let's-get-out-of-the-city-and-unwind type of adventure. Me and my friends planned this a month before but you know how it is with plans and friends - somebody's bound to chuck out the last minute and try to change plans. It took a lot of browbeating and stubbornness on my part for this to come through. But it was all worth it. And should you decide to give this place a visit, you'd probably think so too.
Pulau Ubin is the remnant of historical Singapore. It is a testament of the city state's beginnings as a fishing village. So although it can be hard to believe Singapore's transition from a rural village to an urbanized economic premier, Pulau Ubin will give its visitors priceless glimpse of what Singapore used to be some 50 years ago.
